THE EPIC RIDE

14 women riders of the Bikerni will motorcycle down from London to India and create history!

What?

The Bikernis cruise the fabled Silk Road across a formidable expanse of territory, with a rich tapestry of cultures to uncover and extraordinary roads to ride. We take the road less traveled, through countries where tourism is only in its infancy.

Why?

Our goal is to carry the message of Women empowerment not just in India but across countries. We hope to impact the way society perceives women and inspire women to be change agents in their own communities. Most importantly, as women riders from India, our ride aims to be a positive story emphasizing that India is graceful, strong and determined to welcome women travelers from across the globe.

Where?

From the far east of Turkey, through Iran and into Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan the heart of the Silk Road and Kyrgyzstan. The Pamir Highway in Tajikistan, the Tibetan Plateau and the route to Everest are just some of the extraordinary roads to ride on what is an extremely challenging and unpredictable journey, testing your abilities both on and off the bike, before you reach Lhasa, Tibet & descend into Mumbai.

ABOUT THE BIKERNI

The Bikerni aims to spearhead women empowerment through the medium of motorcycles and encourage women to go on adventures they would have never thought to go on before.

The Bikerni is India’s pioneering group of women motorcyclists started in 2011. As the first and largest motorcycle group, The Bikerni has inspired many women to start riding and opened avenues in the fields of racing, stunting, touring and brand influencing for female riders all over.

We have inspired more than 1600 women to join chapters of The Bikerni across 17 chapters of India and kick-started a revolutionary movement. We also have organised a large number of rides and events for women throughout India and overseas, promoting women empowerment through the spirit of motorcycling.

The members of The Bikerni have several records to their name and are well respected in the biking community as the front-runners of the women motorcycling movement. The Bikerni encourages the members to head out on road-trips, to connect with fellow members and treat them like family and also participates and volunteers in motorcycling events and social causes.

We aim to encourage women to ride on paths they would have never thought of before.
