The members of the association (slated as the pioneers of the women motorcycling culture in India) will be throttling 19,000 km from London to Delhi early next year in 2019.
For the next expedition, 10 women riders + 4 crew members of The Bikerni will motorcycle down from London to India and create history as the largest group of women motorcyclist to ride a long distance by road in a single road-trip.
The goal is to carry the message of Women empowerment not just in India but across countries. The Bikernis hope to impact the way society perceives women and inspire them to be change agents in their own communities. Most importantly, as women riders from India, the ride aims to be a positive story emphasizing that India is graceful, strong and determined to welcome women travelers from across the globe.
They plan ride to promote Tourism and show the changing face of India and create a new chapter in the record books.
The ride is going to be planned by ScoutMyTrip, a well known road trip planner as Trip Partners.
Vineet Rajan, co-founder of ScoutMyTrip stated, “The Bikerni’s have been in the forefront of the motorcycling community in India; and that’s irrespective of the gender. So when Urvashi and her able team of super avid bikerni’s contacted us; we were very happy to partner them to plan their trip”. He continued, “This is the second such international ride we have partnered. The first being Aditya Raj Kapoor’s ride last year covering 24 countries, 35,000kms on his ride – The Quest which was a RTW (round the world) on his Triumph Bonneville”.
xBhp.com will be documenting the journey on their magazine and their strong community of bikers online.
The Bikernis will also be supported by a women strong team from Embarq Motorworld India who have a strong portfolio in organizing international and overland expeditions and are the logistical partner.
Sujal Patwardhan says, “This will be a ride of a lifetime and we are thrilled to partner with the Bikerni group – to make this dream come true. The Bikerni group has been an inspiration for all aspiring women riders in India and this ride will further help establish India as a biking destination for Riders across the globe.”
